The Diocese of Orange acquired land allowing this parish to essentially start from scratch. The schematic design team situated a new sanctuary, courtyard, and parish hall in an introspective way on the site. During the design development phase, the focus was to push the design further delving into the experience and the intangibles of the space. The church’s design committee was open to a more contemporary take on the traditional Catholic church, but all of the key elements remain - tabernacle, baptismal font, etc. A major piece of design development was the wall behind the altar - also known as the reredos wall.
